| Hello everyone. I suppose I should be studying for my Physics Lab final tomorrow but, instead, I decided to update my journal. I'll get to studying later, haha. Well I just got back from Bako for Thanksgiving break and am now back in Newport. Well as the title says, I'm going to be recapping the end of summer as well as the main events that have taken place thus far during my senior year here at UCI.
The end of my summer was fairly good. I lived in Oxford for the remainder of summer and it was just me and Roger left for the last month or so. I was just working, working out, and jamming with Roger so it was pretty relaxing but fun. My dad and I did end up going on our camping trip. We got up to Camp Wishon on Friday afternoon and backpacked about 3.5 miles to Rose's Grave, which took only about 2 hours. We set up camp, fished for about an hour or so (each catching one fish), cooked them for dinner, and then went to bed around 10 PM under the stars. The next morning, we woke up, ate breakfast, and then basically fished all day. I caught 5 more fish and my dad caught 3 more. So all in all, we caught a total of 10 fish. Not bad for just over a day's worth of fishing. We hung out around camp, cooked up some fish for dinner, and went to bed around the same time as the night before. The next morning, we cooked the remaining fish, feasted, packed up camp, and hiked back to the car. We ate lunch in Springville at the Hamburger Stand, and then drove home. I stayed home only a few hours, then headed back down south. Not much happened the rest of summer, but on September 19, we moved into our new location, 115 26th Street, Newport Beach, CA! The house consisting of me, Roger, Erwin, and Brandon.
We lived in our new pad for about a week without anyting to do except: partying, rushing, going to the beach and playing frisbee. It was short but sweet. School started and it was good seeing everyone who I hadn't seen over the summer. I'm taking Physics 3C, Physics Lab 3LC, Physiology, and Cell Biology, so I have pretty full schedule including work and Fraternity. I played Dodgeball for Kappa Sigma and we ended up winning the tournament so that was fun. We're also in the championship again for Ultimate Frisbee and are rematching against Pike. The game is Tuesday so hopefully we'll win. It's been a pretty busy quarter, but I'm enjoying it so far. The last few weeks have been the most exciting though.
Two weeks ago my fraternity held our annual Dynasty Days formal in LA. We stayed at the Westin Bonaventure. I took my good friend and co-worker, Catherine and we had a lot of fun. I drove the two of us and we got there around 3 PM. We checked in and ate with Gaby, Michelle, Jeremy, and Maggie at Johnny Rockets across the street. Afterwards, we went to their room and started drinking and came up with some pretty sweet nicknames (Le Sergio and Le Lola haha). We got ready, drank some more, then headed downstairs to eat and dance. We danced till about midnight and then went to drink some more! We kicked it with Shay, Mike Sos, and Adriana and then went to IHOP for a late-night food run. After a slight mix up with not being able to pay for the taxi, we finally got cash from Scott and Caroline, and then ate. A slight altercation occurred during our meal and Catherine and I stayed after to talk for a while. We decided to head back to the hotel at around 3:30 AM and realizing that I forgot my wallet, we had to walk. Cold, drunk, lost, and bloody (from somehow slicing my foot on something) we finally made it back to the hotel after a very kind taxi driver helped us get back. We got home around 4:30 AM and passed out. We drove back fairly early the next morning and discussed the events of the previous night but had a few laughs as well. It was a very fun and memorable experience and although it could have been bad, it turned out to be something that I'll always look back upon.
Last weekend, Nick, Justin, and I decided to head up to the bay area to visit Jill, Elise, and Mark. I drove Nick and myself to Bakersfield and we picked up Justin and headed north. We got to Berkeley around midnight, unloaded our belongings at Mark's pad, and headed over to Jill's place in Oakland. We played beer pong, proceeded to get hammered and then went back to Mark's to pass out. The next morning we just played Brawl for a while, then met up with Jill and we all headed to San Fran to eat. We ate at a really good sandwich place called Ike's and I ordered the Menage Trois. It was delectable. After our meal, we cruised over to Elise's, and chatted with her and her friend Kim for a while. After walking to a nearby bar and realizing Jill forgot her id, we went to BevMo, got alcohol and went back to Elise's where we played the funnest game of King's Cup I've ever played. Then everyone headed their separate ways: Elise and Kim to Elise's boyfriend's party, Jill to her boyfriend's party, and the four of us guys met up with Jino and paid $25 to get into an all Asian club - definitely overpriced. I hit on the single, white female bartender and kicked it with the guys for the night. We again went back to Mark's and passed out. The next morning, we played some Brawl, picked up some belongings, said bye to Jill and Elise and then went to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack and left SF at about 6 PM. I drove back to Bako, we dropped Justin off and then Nick drove us back down south. I got home around 2 AM and woke up about two hours later with food poisoning. Despite that part, however, it was a really fun trip.
This past week was Thanksgiving weekend and it was definitely a lot of fun. I drove Nick and I, in Nick's car, back to Bakersfield and it was the quickest and earliest I've ever gotten home for Thanksgiving since I've been in college. It was only a 3.5 hour trip and we arrived at my house at about 4:30 PM. I said hi to the fam, ate dinner with them, was dragged to go see "New Moon," and then went out with Jake, Damen, Nick, Mark, and Eric. We went to Replay off of Buck Owen's Boulevard and I literally "bumped into" Margaret Kerber, a girl who I used to go to school with but had never met. We talked that night for about an hour or so and after getting her number we all headed home. The next day was Thanksgiving and our family went to the Grandma's house for our annual festivities with the Crossman's, Kevin, Brian, and Josh. We toasted to our health with White Russians, ate an amazing turkey dinner, and watched Home Alone. I called Margaret around 7 PM or so and we met up at around 10 PM to get coffee. After driving around for about 20 min we finally ended up at Denny's. We sipped on our coffee and chatted till about midnight. Friday, I went to take Christmas pictures with the family at the old Southwest baseball fields and we all wore our college sweatshirts. We took lots of pictures and had fun doing so and then went to cut down our Christmas tree in Springville. When I got back, I showered, and then Margaret and I went to dinner at Mexicali. After we ate, we went to Firehouse to play some pool and grab a drink. We ended the night watching the new Star Trek and then I took her home. Saturday was a pretty boring day, but I decided to accompany Margaret with a few errands she had to run at Aaron Brothers and Best Buy. Afterwards, I ran a few errands of my own, ate dinner, and watched "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Steph, Rach, and I decided to have people over since my rents had taken Anna back up to Chico for the weekend. The attendees were: myself, Steph, Josh, Brett, Tristen, Nick, Jill, Jake, Justin, Margaret, Drew, Stuart, Rach, Justin Thatcher, and Andrea. We had fun playing Beer Pong, King's Cup, Fuck the Dealer, Bullshit, and some dice game Rach knew. Everyone left around 2 AM and I passed out on the couch.
Today, I woke up around noon, hung around the house most of the day and packed up my stuff. Nick and David came to pick me up around 4 PM and we headed back down south. We stopped to eat at Panda Express and got home in about 4 hours since there was more holiday traffic. I unpacked, did some homework, and now I'm putting off studying. I have my Physics lab final tomorrow but I don't think it'll be very hard and I'm guaranteed at least a C, haha. I only have one week left for this quarter, and then finals week, which I'll be done Wednesday, then I head back to Bako for Christmas break! I look forward to the end of the quarter, end of the year, and spending more time at home. Once again, I wrote a novel on here but I'll update again when some more memorable experiences occur. That's all for now. Goodnight everyone.

| Well I guess it's time for me to update again. It's been almost two months so, of course, a lot has happened since I last updated haha. The rest of July wasn't too eventful. I finished up summer school and got a B- in my Neurobiology class. I suppose it's an okay grade although I thought I was going to do better. Oh well, at least I passed. Two days after summer session I ended, Mike had his 21st bday party at his house which was pretty fun. About 20 people ended up staying the night, sleeping in every nook and cranny possible downstairs. The next morning, my dad picked me up from Mike's house and we drove back to Bakersfield. We had our 4th annual slip n' slide at Pin Oak Park, which was fun but not as many people came as the last few years. It was still good to see people though. Afterwards I hung out with Justin and Nick and we just kicked it and swam at Nick's house. When I got home, I was surprised to find out that my mom and sisters had found a stray chihuahua wandering around. We went to church the next morning, then went over to Grandma's and brought the dog along. All day we were trying to figure out what it's name was. We just made hot dogs and hung out at her house and celebrated my 22nd birthday, which was two days away.
On my 22nd, I invited some friends to go to BJ's for dinner and then bar hopping afterwards, which was surprisingly successful. Jill, Justin, Drew, Ashley Owens, Tim McConnell, Devon, and Phillip came and we ate and then all of us except for Devon went to the Firehouse. Most of the people didn't drink while I proceeded to get hammered. By around midnight everyone had left save for Tim, Drew, and I and Tim was kind enough to drive Drew and I around. We went to the Junction downtown and met up with Daphney, Taylor, Nadia and her friend. We had a small altercation with two cowboys when one "accidentally" took one of our beers but luckily nothing happened. We left and headed to RJ's where we drank more and stayed till it closed at 2 AM. Afterwards all of us except Nadia and her friend went to Daphney's house where we all hung out till about 4 AM. Tim drove me home and I went to bed. It turned out to be a pretty successful night.
A few days later, someone called and claimed that they thought the missing chihuahua was their's so they came and picked it up from our house. Apparently it's name was "Chiquita," which was one of the names we had thought of, haha. The very next day our neighbors tell us they found two chihuahua puppies and sure enough my sisters go visit and bring them back over. They were cute and energetic and we named them Mickey and Minnie. I stayed the rest of the week and we all headed down south (Josh included) to Huntington Beach for the weekend on Saturday morning. I lifeguarded for a private party, made $100, then headed back to Huntington to meet up with my family. When we got there, we were shocked to find that Anna's new bike had been stolen. After dealing with the police, we all went to dinner at Crabby's Bar and Grill. It was the perfect ending to a "crabby" day. The next morning we all woke up around 9 AM and went to walk around town for a bit where I bought a new pair of sunglasses. I got my bike fixed and then we all headed to the beach. We stayed on the beach most of the day body surfing, playing frisbee, and tossing the football. We left around 5 PM and everyone except Steph and Josh went to eat at Garlic Joe's in Newport. Afterwards my rents dropped me off, said goodbye, and left. A few days later I found out that the owner's of the puppies had called and taken them back so that was sad but my rents just recently adopted a new dog who also happens to be a Brussels Griffon and Terrier mix. His name is Ollie. I look forward to meeting him soon.
I've been down in Irvine ever since. Dylan moved out of the house about a week after I got back so it's been me and Roger since then, which means it's been a lot quieter around here. I've been going out quite a bit, staying up late and sleeping in a lot as well. A week or two ago I went to the Goat with Mike and a few of his Armenian friends and I apparently kicked Mike Napoli and Jeff Mathis of the Los Angeles Angels off of the shuffleboard table. I've also been hanging out with my friend Daaman since she's going to India for a few months. Other than that I've been trying to work out, swim, and have been lifeguarding a lot. I'm getting roughly 24 hours a week so that's pretty nice. Today was probably my busiest day of the summer though. I stayed up late writing last night so I woke up around 11:45 AM and made a half a dozen phone calls, did laundry, scheduled some appointments, went to the bookstore, went shopping, cleaned, swam, went to work, read, and now I'm just hanging out. Also, Roger and I have been jamming quite a bit so that's been fun.
The rest of the summer I'm just going to be working, working out and trying to relax. I bought a new book today called "Life of Pi" so I'm going to try and finish that. I'm also going to try and write a lot more and hopefully finish at least a first draft of my book. This weekend I'm going back home and my dad and I are going to go backpacking and fishing at Camp Wishon and Rose's Grave so I'm really looking forward to that as well. And if I'm really lucky I'll make a trip up north to visit some friend's and maybe even Anna who's now at Chico. That's about all I have to write about for now but I'm sure I'll write more towards the end of summer. Everyone enjoy the rest of your summer and I'll update soon. Later kids.

| So, for once I'm actually updating relatively soon after my last entry. I actually planned on doing so and this seems like a good time for another entry because a lot has gone on since my last one. Well it's technically July 6 now, since it's about 1 in the morning. That means less than a month till my 22nd birthday. It's pretty crazy to think that my 21st year of my life is almost over and it feels like I just turned 21. Once again proof that time does fly. I either read once or was told that pretty much every year of your life feels shorter and shorter and I must admit that I'm beginning to feel that way. Anyway, since my last update a lot has gone on.
I finished up last quarter doing fairly well - B's in all of my classes except one...damn Molecular Biology. Anyway, afterwards I stayed for a few days to partake in the festivities that occurred in welcoming the summer. I took the train home on Saturday and met up with some of my buddies over at Mark Goya's house including Jill, Jake, Justin, and Jake's buddy Damen. It was fun, we just hung out and kicked it for a while. The rest of the week was pretty crazy though. Not much happened for a few days, I just stayed at home and sorted out some new baseball cards that I bought - the Topps 1987 and 1988 complete set. I'm gonna try and get every single complete set since I was born so that's a fun new hobby I've decided to pick up again. Anyway, I went to get lunch with Jill on either Monday or Tuesday and we went to Albertson's, bought our feast and headed over to Deer Peak Park to enjoy our meal. We talked for about two hours and then at about 5 PM, we returned home, changed, and then, Steph, Rach, Jill, and I went to work out at Fahzzy's work to do circuit training. It was tough, but a good work out. Then the week got pretty crazy.
I came home to see friends but also because I had to. Good old jury duty. After calling since Saturday I was finally summoned to report on Wednesday morning at 8 AM - so I did and while I was there I just read The Kite Runner all day. I started the book when I got there and ended up reading about 150 pages worth since I had nothing else to do. We got a 3 hour lunch break so I went and hung out with Mark Goya. I came back to jury duty at 1 PM but got released around 3 PM. I then had to go to the dentist at 4 PM and then came home and was exhausted. I went to bed really early, around 8 PM, and woke up at around 8 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2009 to find a note that my dog, Squiggy had had a rough night. I was home alone, so I just read some more and hung out with him all day despite him having a lot of trouble breathing. My family came home around noon and at 1:30 PM, we took him to the vet. Long story short, we had to put him to sleep. It was really crazy watching the euthanization happen. I had never witnessed something like that before and it was hard to watch but for some reason I felt it was necessary. We returned home and, shortly after, I began digging a grave for him in the backyard. We held a small funeral for him, said our goodbyes and buried him. It was sad but we'll always remember him. After that we went to dinner at La Cabana for some Mexican food and, also, to take our minds off of things.
The rest of the week was kind of boring. I finished reading The Kite Runner on Thursday and pretty much just hung out the rest of the weekend. Jill left for the Philippines on Wednesday, Mark left on Friday morning for summer school, and Justin was gone for the weekend so Friday night, Jake, Nick and I went to RJ's bar and hung out and drank a little. We met some cool people and just kicked it, until Jake took everyone home. On Saturday, we all went over to my Grandma's house to celebrate Father's Day since everyone was busy on Sunday. We just hung out, made hamburgers, watched TV, and talked. It was kinda boring but good to see everyone. On Sunday, I woke up, mowed the lawn, and then went with my Dad to tow the station wagon since it had broken down a few days prior. To our surprise, there was a Raiders event taking place and they had covered our car with various Raiders attire. My Dad and I got a beer, and waited for the tow truck as we talked with two-time Super Bowl champion linebacker Jeff Barnes. Not surprisingly, my Dad had a great time and decided to become a Raider fan, haha. Anyway, I left later that day with Drew and we headed back down south.
Since I've been back not too much has happened but I've been pretty busy. School started and I've finished two weeks now, so only three more left. I've also been teaching swim lessons to this kid, Timothy, four times a week, and I've been working about 20 hours a week and also working out about 4 times a week, so I have a lot to keep me occupied. Other than that, I've been trying to relax and enjoy my summer. I'm almost done with the swim lesson so that'll free my schedule a little bit. Also, Saturday was the 4th of July, so I spent the day in Newport and let's just say that it was ridiculous. It was definitely a crazy experience. So I guess that's about it. I'm looking forward to the remainder of summer and having a lot more free time so I can continue to work on some writing and possibly reading more as well as working out. I don't know when I'll update again, but hopefully soon. That's all for now. Have a good night and a good summer.

| So here I am once again updating my long lost xanga, haha. I suppose I somehow find my way back here about two or three times a year and I actually kind of enjoy it. Over the past three days I re-read EVERY single journal entry I've written since 2003. Wasting time? You got it, haha. Despite wasting time, however, it was fun and I do enjoy replaying events in my mind.
Well it's June 1, 2009. Not only is it already the first day of June, but it's also the first entry I've written in the year 2009, AND tomorrow is my parents' 25th anniversay. What a milestone. Before I know it, it's going to be MY 25th wedding anniversay haha. Anyway, it's also the end of the school year. It's my last week of school this week and then next week is finals so that means I'm almost done with my third year here at UC Irvine. The time really does fly by. All in all I'm doing pretty well in school. I had a pretty shaky first quarter but last quarter went well and this quarter is going pretty well so far. I'm taking Bio 99 (Molecular Biology), Physics 3B, Physics Lab 3LB, and an upper division bio writing class, Bio 100LW. I'll be taking pretty much only upper division classes next year so that's exciting.
Anyway, I've decided to recap the entire year, starting from September 2008. Well, not the entire year, but as much as I can remember so this will probably be a pretty long journal entry. It's funny because I used to recap my entire week, lol. I would tell of events that happened on a daily basis and now here I am recapping my year. Well I guess I'll start with fall quarter.
Fall quarter was a lot of fun as I began in early September moving into my new residence, Oxford, with Mike, Dylan and Phil. I was getting really involved with my Fraternity: attending weekly meetings, playing sports, and going to all of the social events. I played Ultimate Frisbee and we ending up going undefeated up until the championship game. We played PIKE, one of our bigger rivals and they had to beat us twice to win. Well they destroyed us the first game, which meant we had to play another; however, our best guy, James Tasker, couldn't play because he had to coach the DG football team so that meant we all had to step up, one of those guys being me. I've played frisbee all throughout high school and the last two years in the Fraternity so it wasn't hard to step up. Long story short, we actually played like a real team and did not have to depend on one guy to lead us to victory and we ended up winning the game 7-4. It definitely was a proud moment to be a Kappa Sigma. I was also swimming a lot this quarter and I lost close to 10 pounds, but I reinjured my back and began therapy at Brunelle Chiropractic, which I was told would only take about 3 months to complete. Other than Fraternity events, working, and going to the chiropractor three times a week, I met a lot of new cool people fall quarter, but unfortunately did not take school seriously enough. I did bad....very bad. I guess it was partly because I was burnt out from summer school, I was working for the first time during school, doing a lot of Fraternity events, partying way too much (because I had just turned 21 not long before) and I just did not put enough time into my studies. It was a huge wake up call.
I went home almost a week after finals because there was some pretty bad weather on the grapevine for a few days but I finally made it home via the train. Christmas break was a lot of fun. I saw friends and we hung out, although I don't remember too many specific things we did. Christmas was good, we had our annual Christmas Eve party and I got to buy alcohol for it, which made me feel important haha. The day after Christmas we rented a cabin from a family that my rents know from church, which was up in Alta Sierra (just east of Bakersfield) and spent three days snowboarding/skiing. My entire family came, as well as my Grandma and Josh. Pedigo, Wes, and Sarah came two days in a row but didn't stay the night. The trip was a lot of fun and I'll never forget the Bachelor Pad, haha.
I came back for winter quarter and was a lot more motivated to do well. I retook a physics class, and took biochemistry and my last GE course. I did well - getting a 3.1 GPA. I did end up meeting a lot of cool people though in the meantime through various social events. Also, in February, I had my first REAL Vegas experience. I had been twice before but both times were with my family and I hadn't been since I was like 15. Since Nick turned 21 on February 10, we all went the weekend following that, which was Valentines/Presidents Day weekend. It was a blast. The attendees were: myself, Nick, Justin, Mark, Eric, Christina, and her boyfriend Jino. Jino had been to Vegas a lot and had his dad's VIP card to the Wynn so we got hooked up with drinks, meals, and even got into the club Rain for a very cheap price. I met up with my old junior high school buddy, Nick Meyers and his friend, Sean, and we all spent the weekend clubbing, drinking, and gambling. I lost about $100 gambling, but did come up pretty big in a game of poker, which was a lot of fun. For the remainder of the quarter, I didn't play any sports but began to lift weights fairly seriously. I had never really gotten into weight lifting so it was new but I found that I really enjoyed it. I was finally starting to get back into pretty good shape. I was also still going to the chiropractor despite it being over 3 months. It was a good quarter, and I did well in school and still found time for social activities.
Spring break was one of the funnest I've had. I went to Lake Mead with a bunch of my Fraternity brothers, and I brought my friends Leah and Kristin. The three of us rode up with Tara and Rena and we drove to Vegas for the first night meeting up with the entire group. I was fairly skeptical as to how the weekend would turn out and the first night in Vegas started off pretty fun as we pulled into the Stratosphere parking lot, ate a buffet dinner, and then took about an hour limo ride around the city. Unfortunately, the night ended pretty bad. I won't go into details, but it's okay because the rest of the weekend was amazing. We left Vegas early the next morning and got to Lake Mead at about 10AM. We had two house boats, the American boat and the Canadian boat, which consisted of about 20 Canadian guys and girls, the guys all being Kappa Sigs from the University of Alberta. The trip was awesome. We partied the first day on the beach and had a dance party that night. The next day, Saturday we went cliff diving, and then had our first annual Beer Olympics consisting of Team Asia, Team Canada, and Team USA. I decided to be the coach for Team Asia because they only had one guy and about 8 girls. It was a blast and we were winning going into the last event but I passed out before so I didn't get to partake - oh well, next year. After I woke up, we danced some more and had a very funny but fun time in the jacuzzi until about 6 in the morning. The wind picked up and the boats came untied so we had to fix them. We finally went to bed and woke up around noon and headed back to the docks. We all said our goodbyes, took pictures and were off. It was definitely a fun/bonding experience.
Spring quarter has been pretty good so far. I'm doing well in my classes for the most part and still meeting new people and making new friends. I swam in the IFC swim meet for my third year in a row, but haven't been lifting or swimming as much in general. I need to get back into that. In fact, I think after I finish writing this I'm going to go to the gym (P.S. I did end up going to the gym ). Anyway, nothing crazy has happened this quarter. I've been trying to focus more on school and haven't been nearly as involved in the Fraternity. Tonight is our last meeting of the year so I'll definitely go to that even though it's long as hell haha. One fun event that did happen, however, occurred last month on Cinco de Mayo. My buddies, Phil, Mike, Erwin, and I went to a Dodger baseball game. The Dodgers have been extraordinary this year and are currently first place in the MLB with a record of 35-17, the best I have EVER seen them do. So we decided to take a train to Union Station in LA and of course drank on the way. We got a cab (with an Armenian driver) to the stadium and we found our seats...in Mannywood, a section designed specifically for Manny Ramirez fans located just to the right of the foul pole in left field. The game was not too exciting but we still had a blast. We sat by the Dodger bullpen so we were talking to the pitchers, yelling obscenities at the opposing left fielder, had beer chugging contests, Mike got a ball when Manny threw it into the stands, and on top of all that we were on TV. What a day. The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 3-1 and we got home by way of taxi. We first took a cab back to Union Station (with an Armenian driver) and then took a cab from LA all the way back to our house in Irvine for only $80. The driver was once again Armenian and Mike used his skills to convince the guy to drive us back for cheap. Other than that, I did Songfest again but only the last three weeks because two of our guys got kicked off for bad grades. I met more cool people and had a blast doing it - much more fun than last year. We performed In the Heights, a latino-hip hop broadway musical, and although we didn't win, I had a great time being on stage. Also, just last week my grandparents from Michigan came to visit so Phil and I took them to the Crab Cooker in Newport for dinner and then the next day, my grandparents, Josh, my rents, and I all went to Steph's graduation at Long Beach. The graduation was short, only taking about two hours and Misty May-Treloar was the speaker so that was cool. Then we all went to eat lunch at BBC in Belmont Shores. Drew joined us and we ate and all talked and caught up. It was good seeing everyone. We all departed and everyone but me headed back to Bakersfield for Anna's graduation, which was the same night. It's crazy to think that all of us are out of high school now. Time really does fly.
Well school is almost over for the year and to be honest I cannot wait until summer. I'm still lifeguarding at the ARC and I will be for the entirety of the summer. I'll also be taking one summer school class the first session, Neurobiology, and I hope to do well in that class. Hopefully I'll be able to visit Bakersfield and see friends, and maybe even take a fun trip up north or somewhere else. We'll see. I guess that's about all I can think of. If I remember more I'll add it later I suppose. Hopefully the next time I write, I won't have to recap so much haha. I guess that's about all, if you're still in school good luck with finals and if not, then have an amazing summer. I'll talk to you kids later.

| Although I've entitled this entry "The Labors of Labor Day Weekend" it was actually quite fun, despite being stressful. There were many events that occurred that I would like to share, starting with Thursday. Thursday I woke up pretty late, about 11:00am or so and almost immediately began studying for my organic chemistry midterm, which I had on Friday. I pretty much studied all day and took a break to go to eat dinner with Mike, Terry, Alina, and Gaby at Tenko. We ate and then I stayed up until about 2:30am studying. I woke up the next morning at about 7:30am and studied some more. I took my midterm at 10:00am and then came back, made some lunch, and then went to work from 3:00-8:00pm. When I got off work, I went home and then cleaned up the place for the party that we were planning. The party ended up being insane. About 15 people came over and we just played some beer pong and kicked it. Then, at about 10:00pm or so, Stanton's friend Solomon came over with about 20 more people. We all just got super drunk and played drinking games and what not. The cops rolled at about 1:15am and then the party ended around 2:00am. It was a pretty epic night at sen fity block. On Saturday morning, I had to wake up at 7:00am because I had to pick up the Uhaul in Laguna Beach at 8:00am. Mike and I went to go pick it up and after we brought it back I went to go do the recycling at about 10:30am, which took me about an hour because for some reason EVERYONE in Irvine does their recycling on Saturday morning. Anyways, it was semi-entertaining because there was this ginger kid and his dad that were in front of me that were pretty funny/annoying. After I got back, I cleaned and then Mike and I went to get Rubio's for lunch. We came back, watched part of SuperTroopers and then Mike, Stanton, and I started packing the furniture into the Uhaul. It didn't take us too long and after we finished we took it to A+ Storage. We unloaded it into the storage unit and then we went back. I went to work (an hour late because I was moving) and got off at about 7:30pm. When I got back, Mike and I returned the Uhaul and then ate at Charo Chicken. We went back and then I played poker with Stanton, and our neighbors Jay and Sean, which I ended up winning (as usual, haha). We drank a little and then I went to bed at around 1:30am. I woke up on Sunday, despite my alarm not going off, at around 7:30am and then I went to work from 8:00am-2:00pm. Work was easy and pretty chill and I basically just talked with the other guard, Catherine, the entire time. After work, I came home, played guitar for a bit, and then I started packing all of my stuff. I got dinner by myself at Subway and then just packed non-stop until about 11:15pm. I showered and then went to pick up Catherine and her friend Heather and took them to Sameer and Frank's pad in Costa Mesa. We drank a little and played beer pong and rock band and then left at around 1:30am. I dropped the girls off but had to go back because I forgot my wallet. I went back, got my wallet, kicked it for about 30 min and then went back home and packed until we finally finished at 4:30am. I passed out shortly afterwards at our neighbor's. The next morning, Labor Day, I woke up at about 9:15am and got ready to go to the beach. I finished packing some stuff and then Stanton and I dropped it off at Oxford, picked up Catherine and her friends, and then picked up Alina and headed to Huntington. We got there at about 11:00am and then ate at the Sugar Shack for brunch. We walked to the beach and basically just hung out for about 3 or 4 hours, swimming and tanning and what not. Stanton and Alina wanted to go to Newport so they decided to walk there (which I learned later only took about an hour for them to do). The girls (Catherine, Heather, Cassidy, Alaura) and I left at around 4:00pm and all of us minus Cassidy decided to head over to Newport to party. About the time we got into Newport, the CV joint of my car popped out again and I had to get it towed to Wes' apartment to fix it. The whole ordeal took about an hour total but I finally got it fixed. We all got to 46th street at around 5:30pm and just hung out and eventually went to the beach and talked for a while. We left at about 6:30pm, got some Chronic Taco and then I took everyone home. When I got back, I ate, went to Oxford, did my online fantasy football draft, showered, and then jammed on the guitar with Vaughn and Bmead for about an hour. Now, I'm just sitting here, exhausted because I've had only 4 hours of sleep or less for the past 4 nights, haha, so I think I'm gonna go to bed. I must say that my weekend was pretty busy and stressful but I definitely had a lot of fun. Until next time. | | |
